ASSIGNMENT # 4 - CONTEMPORARY COLOR

So it is pretty much amazing that I got this in on time. I liked it but I have had a crazy weekend and week so it was hard to just get some images to work with. But I did! my favorites are the tube and the merry go round, and I kind of like the lime and the leaf. That one is the kind of thing where you either love it or hate it and most people i've talked to hate it. :) but overall I thought this turned out okay! I found a lot of good light and some good colors to work with.

IRVING PENN

So I was gone when Slade assigned this so I am going to blog about irving right now :)

Irving Penn was a photographer who died recently at his home ( he was pretty old). He did photography for Vogue Magazine for a very long time, and his fashion pictures are in my opinion super beautiful. He was really ahead of his time as far as keeping it simple went, and he was very good at using light instead of complicated subjects to make a picture beautiful.

This first one I think is really awesome. The subject is quite simple and the background is very very simple, just plain white, but the photograph overall isnt boring.n That takes some serious skills in my opinion.

This one is a really good example of Irving's skills to use light to make a picture beautiful. If the light was just coming from the front or right above it wouldnt be nearly as interesting I think. The light changes the way the background looks in every different corner. Very Very pretty/

ASSIGNMENT 3

This was my favorite assignment ever except for hi key low key!!! It was so awesome. The very first pictures I took were of my dirty laundry on the floor, and those are the teal and orange clothes ones. My favorite ones are the one of my Goldendoodle Maggie, and the blue one of my brother's hand and the uno cards. This assignment really made me appreciate how much better I like shooting in color, and it was so great. With lightroom you can make the pictures look a lot better by just doing little things. The uno card one and the oranges one I think both look really good because of the editing in lightroom, but dont worry cause they didn't suck before. This was so great!!!!

ASSIGNMENT 2 1/2: RETOUCH

So I was kind of hesitant to do anything to this one because I liked it so much just straight out of the camera, but I think that adding the darker darks made it look better. It makes the old one look so flat haha
